"Hero" by Miguel Endara

The making of "Hero," a drawing composed entirely of over 3 million ink dots.

Chee-burger, Chee-burger, Chee-burger!

Gift Couture is an innovative start-up company. They have created wrapping paper sets from original photography that feature coordinated designs made to fit together like a puzzle... or provocatively stand alone. Below are photos of their "Cheeseburger" wrapping paper set which includes a bun, tomato, lettuce, cheese, and a hamburger patty.

As far as I understand it, Gift Couture is in the process of funding the cost of printing and packaging the initial line for shipment to their backers, but hope to open an online store at Kickstarter has all the details.

Jim Morrison: Great American Poet?

Originally posted at The Poetry Foundation, Daniel Nester has written a lengthy, yet interesting essay about the writings of Jim Morrison...

When You're Strange: Jim Morrison Great American Poet?

People are indeed strange in that we can't seem to resist adopting elitist tendencies. I find it difficult getting behind any group that imposes the confines of strict rules upon creativity. It bothers me that without academia approval, Jim isn't allowed membership into the club.

I never liked the idea of looking to someone else to tell us what is legitimate art. I tend to think that like all art, the definition of poetry and our enjoyment of such, is up to each and every one of us.

... you decide.

Dig it... right here, right now.

French web designer, Arian Noveir, has created this super cool series of watercolor-esque, abstract-style paintings; which by way of splatter, hint at the identity of each superhero.
